The Inclusive Lingerie Boutique That’s Huntington Beach’s Progressive Hidden Gem

Society may have gotten more progressive, but shopping for a bra hasn’t gotten any easier. Unless you’re a customer at The Bra Garden.

It’s one of Huntington Beach’s hidden gems, and somewhere every woman should visit at least once. It’s an empowering experience as a woman-owned boutique lingerie store that offers mastectomy fitting services alongside traditional lingerie and every boomba tape for those nights on the town.

We’re sharing what makes this small business special, and how buying a new bra doesn’t have to be a daunting experience of badly lit fitting rooms and limited sizing.

Meet the Woman-Owned Bra Shop with a Difference

The Bra Garden is owned by Windy Bess, a surgical technologist who understands the need for a properly fit bra better than anyone. Her background in breast surgery means she can transform what can be a nerve-wracking encounter into an empowering experience.

Wendy is board-certified and mastectomy fitting certified, helping women at a time when adjusting to their new body can feel daunting. The Bra Garden has a female-led team with Angie and Abby, Windy’s daughter and friend, also working at the boutique. They’re the ones you want to speak to if you’re looking for the latest lingerie trends or need a bra that will give you a seamless finish for your graduation, prom, or wedding day. These girls will even help you find your new gym buddy with the perfect-fitting sports bra.

The other member of The Bra Garden team is Margaret Peters, a long-time customer and friend of Windy, who started working in the store after retiring. Like Windy, she’s also mastectomy certified.

A Small Business That Gives Back to YOU!

Loyalty programs are why most of us shop at big brands, but you’ll find one of the best loyalty programs at The Bra Garden. Every $1 you spend will earn you 1 point. Your personal profile is held in-store, including your wish list, so even your partner can shop for you and earn you reward points.

Are you not in Huntington Beach? Don’t worry! The Bra Garden ships throughout the USA.

What makes The Bra Garden unique is its private parties. You can shop, sip, and try on bras during an intimate shopping experience. It’s a first-class luxury with parties held from 6 pm to 9 pm with 20 guests maximum. Best of all? It’s free! Bring along your friends and pick out lingerie before a vacation or make it part of your wedding planning process with your bridesmaid.

You’ll find other women-owned businesses from Huntington Beach at these events. One of Windy’s favorite brands to partner with is Moonwood Coffee. It’s not just sweet treats and a caffeine fix that you can expect. In January, The Bra Garden hosted a Women’s Wellness event with IV therapy, refreshments, waxing, and massages – all complimentary.

You’re not going to get that A-lister treatment at Victoria’s Secret. You’ll feel like an Angel at The Bra Garden.

An Inclusive Lingerie Store

Every body is different and deserves to be celebrated. The Bra Garden carries sizes AA to Q cups with free fittings for all customers. As a woman-led business, their compassion and kindness come through most when working with breast cancer patients.

Windy and Margaret have made The Bra Garden a safe haven for patients and survivors, whether they need a familiar face to talk to or help to choose post-surgical bras. The Bra Garden holds ‘Breast Talks’ on Zoom every other month with special guests discussing breast health. You can watch these discussions on YouTube.

The Bra Garden is open from 12 pm to 6 pm on Wednesday to Friday, 11 am to 5 pm on Saturdays, and 12 pm to 5 pm on Sundays.
