How Beachwood Started | 2006 to Today
It’s the brainchild of husband-wife duo Gabriel Gordon and Lena Perelman Huntington Beach locals. Beachwood opened its doors at its first location in Seal Beach in 2006 as a hub for all things related to craft beer, fostering a community of customers searching for mouth-watering food with quality-made beer.
In 2011, Gabriel and Lena partnered with Julian Shrago as a Brewmaster to launch Beachwood Brewing in Downtown Long Beach. This partnership led to the brand winning numerous awards for its beers and creating some of the most popular craft beer flavors!
Beachwood Blendery launched in 2015, creating beers inspired by the Belgian Lambic tradition, using traditional and modern brewing methods side-by-side. Its barrel-aged Lambic-inspired beers have earned the brand recognition at home and abroad.
2022 saw the double launch of Beachwood Brewing & Distilling and Beachwood Pizza and Beer. This new pizzeria has become one of the best spots in Huntington Beach and is truly our neighborhood pizzeria.
Huntington Beach’s Best Craft Beer
Beachwood is a small-batch beer producer known for its signature funky, tart taste with Lambic-inspired flavors. They make five core beers year-round with monthly specialty packaged beers and seasonal draft-only releases. If you’re lucky, you’ll visit Beachwood just right to grab one of their limited-edition sour ales.

While Beachwood is growing with multiple stores, our favorite location is the one right here in Huntington Beach. Their handcrafted sourdough pizzas will make you feel like you’re in the heart of Italy. The seasonal whipped ricotta will make your mouth water and is our favorite. If you're looking for an alternative to beer, their wine collection offers an unparalleled selection.
Beachwood Pizza and Beer is famous for its dough, with as much of the pizza made from scratch as possible. Trust us, you’ll be craving the caramelized pizza crust for weeks after your first visit.
You can order a whole pie or by the slice. Don’t forget to try one of Beachwood’s locally brewed beers during your visit. It’s open 7 days a week from 3 pm to 9 pm Monday to Thursday, 11:30 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 am to 9 pm on Sundays.
